Students in Action

Why choose Safety First CPR and First Aid Training?

We have experienced instructors with medical background. Our instructors have worked either as EMT's, as surgical assistants, or medics in the military.

We strive on excellent customer service. You can ask some of our previous students for comments. We can send you a copy of our evaluations if you wish.

Our students enjoy the class; stay motivated and interested in the discussions since sometimes we bring the topic where it counts the most, the family or their loved one.

At our training center, our classes have a maximum 4 students permitting us to pay attention to detail. When we are off-site, we maintain the student to instructor ratio to a maximum 10:1 for American Safety and Health Institute training and under American Heart Association we maintain the 6:1 ratio.

Student to manikin ratio is kept to a 1:1 or a maximum of 3:1. This permits each student to maximize their practice time and we can pay students that individual attention needed

We understand that not all students are great test takers but if they can explain the concepts or we believe that they understand the material then we will pass them. We give each student three opportunities to pass and try to guide them on any area where they are having problems or difficulties. If after the third attempt we notice that the student stills has trouble grasping the material then we would ask them to retake the course.

Our courses are moderately priced. We try to maintain our cost low to remain competitive but that does not mean that we take any short cuts and not concentrate on the task at hand because we love what we do.

We are one of the few companies that can teach and certify students in both CPR and First Aid in English and Spanish and because of this we like to try to remain competitive in our prices. We will make your training as enjoyable as possible and we will accommodate to meet your needs.

If you do not understand or speak English or Spanish that well or you are not as fluent, we try to welcome translators to the course. We recommend though if a translator is needed, to set up a private one on one session with us. We strongly also recommend that the student understands at least some of the information that is being presented and that the whole course should not have to translated. If the translators would like to become certified, we give them a 50% discount.

In San Diego, we worked in conjunction with the  Miramar Family Home DayCare Center.

In Northern Virginia, we receive referrals from Fairfax County Office for Children.
